About Andaman and Nicobar Islands :
Andaman and Nicobar are a large group islands float in splendid isolation in the Bay of Bengal. Most of these islands are in the Andaman Group, 24 of which are inhabited. In the Nicobar group 13 islands are inhabited. The main island, aptly known as Great Andaman, is divided into 3 portions - North Andaman, Middle Andaman and South Andaman. Port Blair is is the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, located on South Andaman. These islands have historically significant landmarks viz. Cellular Jail, Ross Island, Viper Island, Hopetown and Mount Harriet.
